The South African Weather Service today released a warning of potential veld fires
The service’s website explained that the hot, dry and windy weather conditions that are currently gripping most of the province have lead to an extremely high fire danger.
The weather service has also predicted that the uncommonly high temperatures that have been experienced over the past few days, after the cold snap over the weekend, will continue to remain in the high 20s and low 30s heading into the weekend and next week.
